Happy Mid-July! We are proud to introduce this year’s schedule, and excited about the new opportunities coming to IfSpace this year! We’re adding new extracurricular activities, expanding our Odyssey of the Mind and Robotics offerings, and modifying our schedule to hopefully provide a better flow for families with multiple kids (like mine!).
Our most exciting addition is our new a core academic schedule – the IfSpace Microschool! As with everything we do, Microschool is child-first, development-driven, hands-on and FUN! Students attend for 2-4 hours each week and cover several different academic subjects, and then go home with a week’s worth of suggested assignments, activities, and reading. Our Microschoolers also receive a deep discount on IfSpace enrichment classes – more than 35% off of our hourly tuition rate! Since this is our inaugural year and we remain committed to providing a very high-quality, individualized experience to our community, Microschool class sizes are very limited this year. We’d love to have you join us!
On the tuition front, you may have noticed that we have dropped our annual Registration Fee this year. You told us loud and clear that you would prefer material costs to be more evenly distributed by class rather than paid up front, so we made that change for the fall. For the first time, we’re also offering monthly Unlimited plans for individuals and families. This is a great option for big families, or those who are looking for a more traditional ‘school’ experience!
Finally, beginning in August we will have a Lab Time punch card available for students not enrolled in IfSpace classes. Kids who would like an opportunity to build, play, and experiment in our lab may join us on Wednesday afternoons from 12:30 to 2:30, first come, first served. Minecraft Education and Kerbal will be available, along with our usual craft, electronics, sewing, and art supplies.
