Course Category: History
Semester-long history courses outside of our classical studies arc are designed to bring pivotal historical events to life for students and supplement their understanding. This is accomplished through role play, reenactment, projects, presentations, games, and activities.
We will be learning about past and present leaders who have made a positive impact in our world. The list of people includes Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jane Goodall, Malala, Desmond Tutu, Bill Gates, Mother Teresa, Abe Lincoln, Nelson Mandela. We will do a variety of hands-on activities reflecting on the works of these people, including a community outreach project that the students will decide on together.
